You have the page open. The layout is already right. You just need to change the words, swap the image, and take the screenshot.

That is a good use for a browser editor. And TextPuppet is not the only one.

Edit Page also edits webpage text, replaces images, removes elements, and takes screenshots. The useful comparison is what each workflow gives you around that first edit. Edit Page’s Chrome listing.

Edit Page deserves credit for the basics.

Its official site describes local browser processing without an account. Its Chrome listing describes current-viewport and full-page screenshots, saved to the clipboard or downloaded.

The free version advertises unlimited text editing and current-viewport screenshots. It lists quotas of five image imports, five removals, and three full-page screenshots, resetting after 12 hours.

Premium is advertised at $10 once for unlimited extension features and a lifetime license. If all you need is a page editor and screenshot tool, that’s a compelling price.

TextPuppet can take the page into Studio.

Edit text and images with TextPuppet’s Chrome extension, hide elements, or draw a blur. Then import the visible page into Studio as a captured mockup with editable regions.

From there, keep changing detected text or images, or draw a region for something the import missed. Save the editable project to your account and come back later.

Edit Page’s site says its changes are temporary and refreshing restores the original page. The reviewed product page doesn’t describe this import-to-Studio and saved online project workflow.

TextPuppet imports are static captures. They don’t turn the source site into a new interactive application, and some frames, protected pages, or off-screen content can be missed.

You can start without an existing webpage too.

A WhatsApp group conversation. An iMessage exchange. An email your fictional client definitely should have read twice before sending.

TextPuppet has 11 built-in layouts, including WhatsApp, iMessage/SMS, Gmail, Slack, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Instacart shopper chat. Add messages, change participants, and make the scene in Studio.

The website importer makes the template library open-ended. Built-ins give you a head start. Actual webpages give you additional starting points whenever the brief gets specific.

And you can describe the setup.

Provide your wording and photos to a compatible assistant through TextPuppet MCP. Ask it to create a native mockup, make changes, and export.

The API gives your own application native rendering, image uploads, saved mockup revisions, and PNG, PDF carousel, or project JSON output. It doesn’t browse arbitrary websites; imports happen in Chrome and Studio.

Edit Page’s reviewed product page doesn’t describe an API or MCP connection. Its pitch is local page editing.

Pay for the workflow you need.

TextPuppet is $6/month, $30/year, or $100 once for lifetime access. Every active plan includes Studio, the extension, imports, API, and MCP. Eligible new monthly and annual accounts get a three-day trial with a card upfront. TextPuppet pricing.

Edit Page’s $10 premium license costs less. We’re not going to pretend otherwise.

TextPuppet adds native scenes, editable captures in Studio, account project storage, and automation. Those are the reasons to choose it.
