You have a joke. It needs to look like a conversation. Names, photos, messages, timestamps. You know the drill.

PrankShit has a catalog built around fake messages and social screens. TextPuppet covers familiar chat layouts too, then adds real-page editing, website imports, account projects, and automation.

Both can be useful. The difference shows up when you look at the whole job.

PrankShit has a lot of familiar formats.

Its site lists iMessage, Android messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Snapchat, email, call screens, and social posts. There are separate light and dark or platform-specific generators in its navigation. PrankShit’s product page.

If you need one of those formats, start by checking its generator. The catalog is a real reason to consider it.

Check what the unlock pass covers.

PrankShit sells personal codes for premium access across compatible generators. Its current shop lists €5 for seven days, €10 for 30 days, and €100 for 365 days. Those are timed passes. The shop describes an account for keeping orders, codes, and recent usage together. PrankShit’s shop.

That account description is about purchases and access. The reviewed pages don’t describe the same editable online project library that TextPuppet offers.

TextPuppet is $6/month, $30/year, or $100 once for lifetime access. Studio, the Chrome extension, imports, API, and MCP are included in every active plan. Eligible new monthly and annual accounts get a three-day trial with a card upfront. TextPuppet pricing.

Those prices are listed in different currencies. We’re leaving them that way rather than pretending an exchange rate stays the same.

Sometimes the template is already in Chrome.

A LinkedIn post. A Gmail thread. A Slack exchange with the exact layout you want.

Open TextPuppet’s Chrome extension and edit the page. Replace the text and photos. Hide something. Draw a blur where you need one.

Import the visible page into Studio if you want to keep working on a captured mockup. Save it to your account, come back later, and export again.

Your template library grows with the websites you import. We also have 11 native layouts for a head start. An ordinary website you can open in Chrome can become another starting point, even when it isn’t in the built-in list.

Imports are static captures, not working replicas of a whole website. Protected pages, some embedded frames, and off-screen content can be missed.

You can describe the scene too.

“Make an iMessage conversation. Three messages. Use these photos. The last reply is the punchline.”

Through TextPuppet MCP, a compatible assistant can set up a native mockup, revise it, and export. If you’re building a tool of your own, the API handles native mockups, images, revisions, and exports.

API and MCP access are included in all active plans. The PrankShit pages reviewed here don’t describe those integrations.
