Download Chrome extension

Install in Chrome

  1. Download and unzip TextPuppet.zip.
  2. Open chrome://extensions.
  3. Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Pin TextPuppet, open it, and choose Sign in with Google to connect your TextPuppet account.

This is a manual installation, not a Chrome Web Store listing. To update it, replace the folder and click Reload in Chrome extensions.

Import a website

Open a normal webpage, position the section you want, and choose Import visible page in the extension. The capture opens in the studio, where detected text and images can be replaced. The original site is unchanged.

Imports are static captures of the visible window. Video, forms, embedded frames, dynamic feeds, and offscreen content are not recreated. Backgrounds behind replacements may need adjustment. The capture is available privately for 24 hours; save a project file to keep it.
